In partnership with Ashesi University, CIG supports and inspires young entrepreneurs to put their talents and innovative thinking to use in the cocoa sector. Starting in 2019, CIG will host an annual “cocoa hack,” to lay the groundwork for further cocoa market analysis, and inspire students of entrepreneurship to generate groundbreaking ideas for cocoa-related businesses.
Building upon what they have learned in the cocoa hack and related lectures and studies, students can enter the annual competition for cocoa-related business ideas. The winner will receive a cash prize, to be used over the summer academic break to further research their business idea or run a pilot program, with a view to developing a full business proposal.
Further details about the Cocoa Seed Competition will be announced as available.
